Estefanía Gómez-Moreno


Originally from Valencia, I am a graduate of the University of Valencia with a BA Honours Degree in Children’s Education in Spanish, Catalan and English language. I continued my studies at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (Madrid – Spain), where I am obtaining my M.A. Attention to Special Educational Needs in Education and I gained my certification in Maestra de Español como Lengua Extranjera (ELE) by University Rey Juan Carlos (Madrid - Spain) and the Instituto Cervantes.

In addition, I am a DELE (Diploma del Español como Legua Extranjera) examiner and a trainer in all levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (MECR).

I started my career in 2018 teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language at the Instituto Cervantes in Leeds, where I am teaching both adults and children students. While I have been a Spanish Language Tutor in the School of Languages, Cultures and Societies (LCS) since 2019.

Student education

During my teaching career at the University of Leeds I have been a tutor for modules across our Spanish language in Pre-Intermediate and Intermediate modules and in our Practical Language Skills in Spanish. Working as a part of a team, where our commitment has been involved in: methodology, use of technologies, materials, assessment tasks and strategies, marking, moderation and feedback.
