Profile

I first taught English pre-sessional courses at the University of Leeds in the summer of 2013, and have been continuously teaching throughout the academic year since spring 2017.

I teach and develop materials on a variety of Language Centre courses, working collaboratively with colleagues across the University to facilitate the successful transition of international pre-sessional and foudnation year students onto undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes.

Responsibilities

  • Language for Science Pre-Sessional Programme Leader

Research interests

Having worked for the University on collaborative projects in China, I take a great interest in intercultural curriculum development and the internationalisation of higher education.

With my background in state school education, I am very interested in pedagogical issues concerning schools particularly with regard to ESL students and education policy, particularly in the United Kingdom.
