Translation and interpreting theories and practice; literary translation; discourse analysis; cultural and identity studies; translator and interpreter training.


Before coming to Leeds to undertake his PhD research in 2016, I worked as an inhouse translator/interpreter in Macao for more than five years. I have also been a practitioner and freelance translator over the past ten years, providing professional language solutions to companies in China, Europe and the USA. Widely interested in translation and interpreting studies, I am particularly interested in the practice of translation/interpreting and its sociocultural implications.
