Norasmahani Hussain

Profile

I completed BA (Education) in History at University Science of Malaysia (2004-2008), where I graduated with a First Class Honours. I received scholarship from University Science of Malaysia to pursue Master and PhD under Academic Staff Training Scheme. I completed MA in Modern International History at University of Malaya in 2011. My MA thesis focused on the role of Britain in the establishment of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO), 1947-1949. I am currently studying a PhD at the School of History, University of Leeds. My doctoral research examines the British Foreign Office’s perspective with regards to the admission of Turkey and Greece to NATO. The prime objective of this research is to identify their rejection and acceptance of the Foreign Office from an angle that has received less attention from other researchers.
