Profile

I joined the University of Leeds in May 2022 for the role of Lecturer in Fashion Marketing. I have successfully completed my PhD at The University of Manchester, exploring clothes swapping in the UK using the theory of social practice lens. I have further obtained my BSc. in Fashion Marketing with Honours from The University of Manchester. Before becoming a lecturer, I worked closely with the Manchester Fashion Movement, Friends of the Earth Manchester and I have been an academic tutor in widening participation programmes such as The Brilliant Club.

  • School of Design Study Abroad Coordinator

Research interests

I am an early career academic with an interest in collaborative fashion consumption, clothes swapping, circular economy and sustainable consumption. I am particularly fascinated by the potential for scalability of collaborative fashion consumption business models in order to support the transition of the UK fashion industry towards sustainability. I have presented my work at national and international conferences focusing on sustainability in the apparel industry.

I am involved in teaching as part of the online postgraduate programme, International Fashion Marketing & Design Management. I am further the Study Abroad Coordinator for School of Design.
