Profile

I provide comprehensive research project and business development support to both academic and industry members of the Leeds Insitute of Textiles and Colour. I act as the first point of liason for industry and academic research enquiry and facilitate industry/academic collaboration. I am a bidwriter by expertise and lead on the writing and preparation of strategic funding initiatives for the institute, as well as support industry to write bids on which we are collaborators. I also provide comprehensive advice and support on all elements of the research project development process, including but not limited to: IP and commercialisation, project management, methodology design, impact and public engagement, industry collaboration, costing and funder eligibility. 

After working in the fashion sector during my undergraduate degree, I went on to undertake postgraduate study and commenced a career in bidwriting. I now possess 10 years of experience in grant writing & development, starting my career in the charity sector and moving into academia in 2017. I have since supported research across a number of academic disciplines spanning almost every faculty. I also hold a Masters degree in French Cultural Studies and am trained in facilitation, coaching and person-centered counselling skills.
