Study abroad

Eleanor Corkery, Italy, Classics

All University of Leeds students can apply to spend a year studying abroad. It’s a great way to gain an insight into another culture, as well as gaining valuable experience that will look great on your CV.

Classics at Leeds has exchange links with universities in Göttingen in Germany, Verona in Italy, and Thessaloniki in Greece. You could apply to spend a year studying at any of these institutions – modern language classes are available before you go to prepare you for the experience. There are also opportunities at our partner universities across the world where courses are taught in English.

If you are studying Classical Literature with a language you'll spend a full year abroad in a country in which your chosen language is spoken. We offer combinations of Classical Literature with French, Italian Beginners and Russian.
